  • MEET ADA SLOPE REQUIREMENTS
    1. ADA Accessibility Guideline 4.8.1 states that any part of an accessible route with a slope greater than 1:20 shall be considered a ramp and must comply. Running Slope is the slope in the direction of travel; Cross Slope is the slope perpendicular to the direction of travel.


    2. Furthermore, ADA Accessibility Guideline 4.8.2 limits the maximum slope of a ramp in new construction to 1:12.
